Plant the Pavement! 2014
We have a limited number of work trades and scholarships available to assist those who otherwise would not be able to attend this event.
Inter-Faith Food Shuttle's mission is to pioneer innovative, transformative solutions designed to end hunger in our community. In keeping with that mission, we will work hard to assist those who would like to attend this event but cannot afford to pay the full registration fees.
About Work Trades
Work trade applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all slots are full. You are not required to demonstrate financial need to apply for a worktrade, but applicants with need will receive priority placement. Applicants with special skills may also receive priority placement.
The registration fee for work traders will be reduced to $75 in exchange for either 6 hours of work (students) or 10 hours of work (adults). Work trade applicants may also apply for a partial scholarship if unable to pay the remaining $75 fee.
About Scholarships
A limited number of full and partial scholarships will be given based on financial need. Scholarship applications are due by 5 pm on Friday, April 4. Recipients will be notified of whether or not they have received a scholarship by Tuesday, April 8. You do not have to apply for a work trade to apply for a scholarship. If you would like to apply for either form of assistance, please call or email Hannah Ross at (919) 880-8506 or hannah@foodshuttle.org to request an application. If your application is approved, you will receive a unique discount code to apply to your registration price at checkout. If you are applying for assistance, please do not register before obtaining your code.
If you apply for assistance and do not receive it, you will be provided a unique code that will give you an additionall 3 days to register at the Early Bird rate.
