How about a day to explore... be with friends... watch the eagles...go for a hike...sit quietly by a lake... see a glacier....kayak in Orca Bay. Find that wonderful balance between rest and activity as you take this day and explore the sights and scenes of Cordova and its beautiful surroundings.
Wedged between the activity of workshops, Adventure Day is scheduled for Wednesday June 25. There will be several options available for sign up and purchasing. We will post these after the first of the year, but you will have choices including the following:
- Guided kayaking in Orca Bay
- Ski Hill hike
- Childs Glacier air boat trip
- Sheridan Glacier visit and hike
- Art Tour including David Rosenthal studio
- Hartney Bay and Heney Ridge Trail Visit
- Flightseeing Tours (over Glaciers and Copper River Delta)
There will be charges associated with some of the options, but several are available at no charge. We are looking forward to a day of being together outdoors enjoying the incredible beauty of our local region. It might rain...but it's still beautiful in the rain and we will just dress for the weather.

Therapeutic Massage is also available this day, as well as all through the week.If you are wanting to give yourself a treat, Julie Wolf, RN, in town does Therapeutic Massages, which will be available throughout the week. Pre-booking highly recommended. Her phone number is 907 424-4449 . She gets booked up with weary and worn fishermen, so make reservation asap if this is something you would like to schedule. Massages are done in her studio. She can pick you up if needed. Her place is at the Blue Heron right on the edge of Orca Inlet.
